Consumer Attorneys - Morrow & Artim, P.C.

Consumer Law is the practice of assisting consumers just like yourself with issues involving credit card debt, defective products, collection agencies (including unfair collection practices and unfair credit reporting matters), unfair business practices and identity theft. At Morrow and Artim, P.C., our focus is to help individuals just like you.

Many of the cases that we handle involve state or federal laws that allow for fee shifting. Fee shifting is a legal concept that essentially makes the other party responsible for your attorney fees if you prevail with your claim. Cases involving unfair debt collection practices under the FDCPA, unfair credit reporting practices under the FCRA, and defective vehicle cases under the PA Lemon Law and Magnuson Moss Warranty Act are examples of these fee shifting matters. These claims are handled on a no-retainer basis. This means that you do not have to pay an up-front fee for our legal services. We do this because we are able to obtain our fees from the other party. Unfortunately, Credit Card lawsuit defense cases typically do not fit under the fee shifting statutes that we work under. On those cases, we charge a low, flat fee that will allow you to know exactly what your legal fees will be.

Clay Morrow handles legal matters out of our Pittsburgh office. Clay has handled Consumer Law cases for almost 20 years and has developed a reputation as one of the finest consumer law attorneys in Western Pennsylvania. Clay focuses his practice on unfair debt collection claims, unfair credit reporting claims and identity theft. Clay is well versed in FDCPA matters and has been recognized as an industry leader in the field.

Greg Artim handles matters out of our North Versailles office. Greg began his legal career representing large financial institutions and insurance companies in collection matters on the creditor side. Greg switched over to handling these claims on the debtor side several years ago, and thus has experience on both sides of the collection issues. Greg handles the credit card and collection agency lawsuit defense cases at our firm (Greg handles approximately 20 of these cases each month). Greg also handles the defective vehicle cases under the PA Lemon Law and the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.

We vigorously pursue debt collectors who violate the law. The great thing about pursuing an FDCPA claim through our office is that we do not charge a retainer to our clients. We make the debt collector pay our fee every time!

Whether you are being harrassed by a debt collector, receiving threatening letters or voice messages, receiving wage garnishment threats or are facing any other type of issue with an unsavory debt collector, we can help. As always, we offer a free no obligaton case review to any potential client who may have a claim under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
